One installer,
two phones.
The desktop app runs the session and holds the timebase. The phone client turns a phone into a camera on it. Downloads are served to signed-in accounts, and the same account issues the serial the desktop asks for.
Desktop installer
Code-signed NSIS installer. FFmpeg and MPV are not bundled — the External Tools installer fetches them on first run.
Phone client
Android 10 (API 29) minimum, targets API 35. Joins by encrypted QR pairing over the local network; no account on the phone.
First run, in four steps.
Run the wizard
The External Tools installer fetches FFmpeg and MPV, which distribution builds deliberately do not bundle.
Paste your key
Activation calls lanspilot.com once and caches an Ed25519-signed token bound to this device.
Pair the phones
Scan the encrypted QR, then confirm the six-digit code shown on both screens. Pairing is pinned per device.
Record a test
Thirty seconds, then read the sync report: it prints the drift measured and the correction applied.
What the machine needs.
The app probes threads, memory and which encoder succeeded, then sets its own quota. Two phones is the verified figure; three and four are a hardware-dependent path, with a hard ceiling of eight and an operator override.
